

TAYLOR MCDERMID
Originating from Central Florida, Taylor McDermid, embodies an impassioned commitment to advocating for her clients' interests. Graduating from Stetson University in Deland, Florida, with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Political Science in 2017, Taylor furthered her education at Stetson College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. There, she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2020, specializing in Social Justice Advocacy. Notably, Taylor was honored with the Victor O. Wehle Award for her exceptional performance in Trial Advocacy.
Taylor embarked on her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Brevard County, where she honed her trial skills over three years, handling a diverse range of cases, from misdemeanor DUIs and Batteries to serious felony charges, including sex offenses. Joining our firm as an Associate Attorney in 2023, Taylor has demonstrated proficiency in various aspects of legal proceedings, including early dismissals, depositions, motions, jury trials, sentencing, and probation violations.
Actively engaged in the legal community, Taylor currently serves as the President Elect of the Brevard County Young Lawyers Division and has previously held the position of Member at Large. She also participates in the Vassar B. Carlton Inn of Court and the Brevard chapter of the Florida Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers.
